SnekQ Terms and Conditions

Agreement and eligibility

These terms govern use of the SnekQ app, website, APIs, educational content, and related services operated by Handi Inc. By using SnekQ, the user agrees to these terms and applicable Apple App Store terms. A parent or guardian must supervise minors.

Informational identification only

SnekQ provides an AI-generated informational assessment and may be wrong, incomplete, delayed, or unable to identify the animal. It is not a substitute for emergency services, Poison Control, medical care, animal control, wildlife professionals, veterinary advice, or a qualified in-person identification.

Nonnegotiable safety rule

No SnekQ result means a snake is safe to touch. Never pick up, handle, corner, capture, move, restrain, provoke, or kill a snake based on SnekQ. Keep people and pets at a safe distance. For any suspected bite, call 911 or Poison Control immediately and do not wait for an identification.

Subscriptions

Fresh AI processing requires an active subscription after any eligible trial. Planned United States prices are $4.99 per month and $29.99 per year. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through Apple at least as required by Apple’s terms. Apple controls trial eligibility, billing, taxes, renewals, cancellation, refunds, and purchase history. Ending a subscription does not lock the user out of locally saved history, prior reports, learning tools, sharing, or memories, but new AI processing and reanalysis remain unavailable.

Fair use

“Unlimited” means ordinary personal use subject to reasonable protections against automated or commercial batch processing, bots, scraping, credential sharing, duplicated bulk uploads, malicious testing, attempts to contaminate training data, excessive repeated requests, and conduct that threatens service availability or cost. SnekQ may slow, block, or suspend abusive requests.

User photos and content

The user retains ownership of photos and notes submitted to SnekQ. The user represents that they have the right to submit them. For ordinary scans, the user grants only the temporary rights necessary to process and return the result. When the user confirms an inaccuracy report, the user grants Handi Inc permission to retain, review, reproduce, annotate, compare, de-identify, and use the submitted evidence to test and improve SnekQ, subject to the Privacy Policy.

Inaccuracy reports

Reports must be made in good faith. Users may not knowingly submit internet images, fabricated location claims, illegal material, malware, harassment, or intentionally misleading evidence as legitimate errors. Missing EXIF or an unusual location alone does not automatically prove a report false; administrators review the full evidence. Confirmed false or unusable reports may be permanently deleted and excluded from improvement data.

Knowledge and imagery

Species profiles, myths, quizzes, badges, diagrams, generated illustrations, licensed photographs, and reference assets are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. Users may use them inside SnekQ and share only through features expressly provided. Scraping, republishing, selling, or using the content to build a competing dataset or model is prohibited.

Prohibited conduct

Users may not bypass payment or authentication controls, reverse engineer protected service components, probe for credentials, attack the service, upload unlawful content, impersonate another person, infringe third-party rights, or use SnekQ to facilitate animal cruelty or unsafe snake handling.

Availability and changes

SnekQ may change models, content, features, limits, supported regions, prices, or availability. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, security, provider outages, or circumstances outside Handi Inc’s control.

Disclaimer and limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnekQ is provided “as is” and “as available” without a guarantee of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. Handi Inc is not responsible for injury, death, medical outcomes, animal injury, property damage, loss, or decisions caused by relying on an identification, approaching a snake, delaying emergency care, or violating the safety instructions.

Termination

Handi Inc may restrict or terminate service access for abuse, security threats, fraud, prohibited conduct, legal requirements, or material violation of these terms. Locally stored content remains subject to the user’s device and backup settings.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by applicable United States and Texas law, subject to mandatory consumer protections. Questions should be submitted through the SnekQ support page.
